Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire the love of reading in children at an early age.
Reading at a young age is beneficial for a number of reasons. It supports the growth of language and communication skills, increases vocabulary and comprehension, and can cultivate a love of learning. Reading to children from an early age can also benefit their cognitive development, including memory and problem-solving abilities.Â
It can also introduce youngsters to a diverse range of experiences and perspectives, encouraging them to become more sensitive and understanding of others. Overall, reading is an important foundation for a child’s education and future success.
Our Story
I can remember it like it was yesterday. It all started back In 2017. My wife was in the delivery room giving birth to our twin girls. Our twins arrived and were taken immediately to the NICU. Meanwhile, my wife did not look well. After my wife was discharged, I had to take her back to the hospital the next day. Due to labor complications, she was diagnosed with heart failure. I thought that this illness would last for a few weeks, but it ended up lasting a few years.
We went from life being normal, to our lives being forever changed. As a result, I had to quit my job in banking to care for my family full-time.
Because I believe the scripture that says “All things work together for good for those who love Christ and are called according to His purpose,” I had hope. In 2019, I decided to upload a video on YouTube of me reading their favorite book, Goodnight Moon. From that day forward, It’s Reading Time was born.
Today, my wife has improved significantly, and the twins are healthier than ever before. Our family of six all enjoy reading and love many different types of books.
This is just part of our story and what we’ve experienced as a family over the last few years. Thank you to all of those who have supported us throughout this journey.
