What is It's Reading Time?
It’s Reading Time is a reading initiative aimed at promoting literacy and reading engagement among students of all grade levels. Our program focuses on making reading an exciting and integral part of learning by offering a variety of creative and engaging services and resources.
Reading from a young age is beneficial for several reasons. It helps with the growth of language and communication skills, increases vocabulary and comprehension, and can cultivate a love of learning. Reading to children from an early age can also benefit their cognitive development, including memory and problem-solving abilities. It can also introduce children to a wide range of experiences and opinions, assisting them in being more sensitive and understanding of others. Overall, reading is an important foundation for a child’s education and future success.
What Can I Do To Help My Child Read?

Do you need access to great books? Our YouTube channel has hundreds of books your child can read along with, free. We have books about counting, ABC’s, months of the year, and more!
Start your child’s reading journey with a book log. Book logging encourages children to reflect on what they have read. By writing about the book, children are forced to think about their own thoughts and opinions on the book, which can help them to develop their own voice and perspective and retain the information they’ve read.
